I teach lessons for both voice and guitar, from complete beginners to advanced players.
Be forewarned though - I don't teach with the conventional style you might be used to.
See, I'm a firm believer that everyone always has something to learn. As a team, I expect to learn from you, just as you'll learn from me.
Okay, truth be told, you'll probably learn more...
But chances are, I've got a few years on you!
The student-centric approach
The way I teach lessons is based on you, the student.
If you're interested in learning more about playing folk music, we'll talk about folk music - what the main chord structures look like, how to play open chords, write folk songs, and so on. If you'd rather learn more about modal textures and harmonizing scales, we can work on that, too.
We'll set small goals together every session, looking at what you'd like to accomplish in the short term and long term, and using with a plan that we both feel good about - remember, we're a team!
I'll equip you with materials like chord diagrams, charts, cheat sheets, and even print off your favorite songs with the chords penciled in for you.
We'll work together to make sure when you go home and practice, you're having fun - and that you'll have something new to bring back to each lesson.
Sound good to you? Send me an email and let's take it a step further. We can even do your first lesson at half price.
